Tv Show Review: Game of Thrones 7×04

drogon

Hi everyone! As promised here’s my weekly Game of Thrones Season 7 episode review.

This episode, “The Spoils of War”, was epic in my humble opinion. There were a lot of things happening and frankly the last ten minutes were awesome.

This episode featured some of my favorite characters being badasses, there were some pretty epic Dany moments, some cool Arya moments, it was one of the best episodes so far. As always if you haven’t seen it yet, do not read any further, watch the episode and then come back here.

Let’s start:

Sansa and Arya scene

The two Stark girls have always been some of my favorite characters, especially Arya. They haven’t seen each other since season one and seeing them together in their home was something special.

Bran giving Arya the dagger

Also seeing Bran together with Arya was something awesome. Bran is being weird as in the other episodes, but somehow I think that Arya understands him better than Sansa. Also, I don’t think that him giving Arya the dagger was something to take lightly, Littefinger better watch his back.

Arya being a true badass

Now, this scene was epic for a number of reason:. Sansa watching from above and realizing that she is probably the only Stark without any particular skill, Littlefinger nod in the end, Arya’s moves and her being pretty much a badass kicking Brienne’s ass, Brienne being proud of her in the end and Arya’s smirk when she says: “No one.”

Dany and Jon cave scene

I liked this scene because it was clear that they liked each other, there’s a lot of chemistry between them (Missande clearly ships them as well) Among the signs on the wall I noticed that damn spiral again (What does it mean?!? Does anyone know?)

Jon, Davos and Missandei

This scene was funny, I really like Davos, he is the best. He always comes up with the funniest and most intense lines on the show, kind of like Bronn. These two actors are just amazing in my opinion. Also I think Davos is developing a crush on Missandei and it’s just fun to watch.

The last ten minutes

Now, this was THE scene of the whole episode. It was one of the best scenes of the whole show, it was truly epic. Finally seeing Drogon unleashed in all his glory was impressive to watch it was a joy for the eyes. Scenes like this one are the ones that really make this show great for me. I think they did an amazing job.

Tyrion and Jamie

This is what gave even more depth to the scene. Putting Tyrion there gave a different angle to the scene because we are kind of watching the events develop from Jamie’s and Bronn’s perspective. Now Tryion watching his people getting slaughter by Dany and the Dothraki and him wanting her to succeed but at the same time hoping that his brother, whom he loves, could save himself was truly emotional.

Okay so this was it for this week, these were some my favorite moments. What did you guys think? What were your favorite moments? Did you like the awesome battle scene of this week? As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments below, see you next week.

Tv Show Review: Game of Thrones 7×02

Hi everyone! Here I am with my weekly Game of Thrones review.

This week’s episode was “Stormborn” and as the title suggests it was mainly focused on Daenerys.

Without further ado here are my favorite moments of this episode, again if you haven’t seen the episode yet this may contain some spoilers, so I suggest watching the episode first before reading this.

Varys standing up Dany

I liked the beginning scene which featured two of my favorite characters Dany and Varys. I like how Dany confronted him and how he stood up to her. By the way, these two actors are incredible in my opinion, they were born to play their part. I trust Varys intentions but considering that this is Game of Thrones I’m not 100% convinced that Dany should trust him.

You’re a dragon. Be a dragon

Lady Olenna is not one of my favorite characters but I liked her moment with Dany, this line what pretty epic in my opinion.

Sansa stepping up her game

As I said last week I’m slightly irritated by Sansa always questioning Jon in front of all his men. Her expression when Jon said that he was leaving Winterfell to her was priceless. I didn’t like that the first thing she did as soon as Jon said it, was to look at Littlefinger. Still, I believe Sansa is not the little girl she once was, she has grown a lot in the show, she is more cold and detached, and she is smarter now. I don’t think she will fall for whatever Littlefinger has in store for her.

Jon and Littlefinger moment

This was a moment I’d been waiting for. I knew from the trailer it was coming, but seeing that Jon knows he shouldn’t be trusting Littlefinger was cool.

Sam helping Jorah

I like Sam, he is always fun to watch, and I like when two characters from different story lines meet for the first time. This is one of the cool things about this show, there are so many characters, some of them never even met, some of them only had a few scene together in the whole show, like Jon and Arya for instance, which brings me to the next point:

Arya and Nymeria reunion

Now, this was another scene I’d been looking for. Nymeria and Arya parted ways in the first episodes of season one. Arya has been through quite a journey, she has been through a lot. I was so happy when she decided to go north, instead of going to King’s Landing. Seeing Nymeria was cool, even in the books we kind of know she is still alive and wreaking havoc in the Riverlands. I didn’t understand why she didn’t follow Arya, but hey I still hope that they will meet again in the future.

Theon’s jump

Okay so this was not one of my “favorite” scenes but it was hilarious. I definitely wasn’t expecting it. I laugh out loud when I saw it.

These were the most interesting moment for me this week, what about you? How did you like this week’s episode? How do you think the show is going so far? Let me know what you guys think in the comments below.

Tv Show Review: Game of Thrones 7×01

Hi everyone! It’s here! It’s finally here! Game of Thrones Season 7 episode 1 “Dragonstone”. The long wait is finally over and one of the most beloved tv shows of all time it’s finally back.

As a die-hard Game of Thrones fan I’m going to share with you guys my favorite moments of this episode, if you want to avoid spoilers stop right here, go watch the episode and then come back 😉

– Arya’s toast

This was probably my favorite scene, along with the ending. Arya is one of my favorite characters, both in the tv shows and the books as well. Seeing her single-handedly avenging the red wedding was such a cool scene. This is one of the weird things about this show, somehow a teenaged girl murdering an entire family is oddly satisfying. The lines she had at the end of the scene sent shivers down my spine, also I think Maisie is such a great actress.

– Bran is back

Now Bran is not one of my favorite characters and I like book Bran better than the tv show Bran. I don’t really like the actor who plays him that much, but anyway both in the show and in the books he plays a key role in the story. The one thing that I liked about this scene was that he appeared to be more in control of his powers, so I’m looking forward to that.

– The Hound, Beric and Thoros of Myr

Sandor Clegane is MY favorite character! I just love him. Both Tv Sandor and book Sandor. Rory McCann is perfect for the role. Anytime I see him on screen I’m just filled with joy, there aren’t really enough scenes with him, also his lines are hilarious. The Hound has been through a lot, and he has made significant changes since the story began. Furthermore, I believe George RR Martin has something in store for him, and judging by this scene it’s probably something big.

– Jamie face when Euron mocks him

Euron is one of the characters which has intrigued me the most in the books. The tv show version of him is somehow a lesser version of him than I imagined, but I look forward to see where his storyline is going.

– Jon being King in the North

Jon is a natural born leader, we have seen it when he was the Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, we have seen it in the Battle of the Bastards, and seeing him ruling as King in the North was cool. I was a little annoyed by Sansa undermining his authority in front of all the major houses.

– Ser Jorah makes an appearance

I liked the scenes with Sam, but when Ser Jorah appeared I was so glad. I wasn’t expecting it, and I don’t know where this is going but I’m excited to find out.

– Daenerys returns home

Last but not least, seeing Dany finally getting home was such an epic scene. I like that they didn’t use words, but rather let the whole thing sink in only with the images and the sounds. It was such a cool scene. The Mother of Dragon is finally here!

These were my favorite moments, what about yours? Did you see the episode? Did you like it? Was it worth the wait? Are you excited as I am? Let me know in the comments!
